This spoon is from an ancient Apple tree that lived in my garden for a lifetime.

It is golden in its original color and made black with heat treatment by fire so called Yakisugi,

In Japanese Yaki means burnt and Sugi means cypress.

Made with an axe and a knife.

Soaked in raw linseed oil overnight and covered in two layers of beeswax for protection.

Then dried for a month.

It comes with a small oak container with soft beeswax for you to care for your spoon.

This is a spoon for coffee, te, honey etc.

I use mine for my morning porridge.

If this is your first time using a wooden spoon you

are in for treat.

22cm long and 2cm wide

Care : Wash with water and every now and then

when it feels dry, give it beeswax or some raw linseed oil.

Note: All spoons will differ slightly from the pictures. Some have a

slightly lighter look.

Follow the project and share pictures of your spoon on Instagram with

the new hashtag #myreconnectorspoon
