Black spoon
This spoon is from an ancient Apple tree that lived in my garden for a lifetime.
It is golden in its original color and made black with heat treatment by fire so called Yakisugi,
In Japanese Yaki means burnt and Sugi means cypress.
Made with an axe and a knife.
Soaked in raw linseed oil overnight and covered in two layers of beeswax for protection.
Then dried for a month.
It comes with a small oak container with soft beeswax for you to care for your spoon.
This is a spoon for coffee, te, honey etc.
I use mine for my morning porridge.
If this is your first time using a wooden spoon you
are in for treat.
22cm long and 2cm wide
Care : Wash with water and every now and then
when it feels dry, give it beeswax or some raw linseed oil.
Note: All spoons will differ slightly from the pictures. Some have a
slightly lighter look.
